Welcome to Simplicity by Stormie.
When I first started thinking of developing my hobby into a sideline business I attended a lecture where I heard a man say, "a photograph is the story you are trying to tell." That one statement has profoundly impacted me and constantly reminds me perfection is not what I seek when looking through the lens. At least not the kind of perfection that so many of us seek in life. That's not to say that I'm not looking for the right lighting and other variables to create beautiful pictures, but most importantly I am looking for the perfect moment to capture your story (your memory) to be cherished -no matter how perfect or imperfect it may be. Beauty is most often found in simplicity.
Recently as I was going through some old things from my childhood I found a box of photographs that I had taken. At that moment, I realized I have had a camera for as long as I can remember. Life has a way of taking us in many different directions before we get back to where we should have been all along. I am thankful that God has brought me back to a point in my life that I can do what I enjoy. The old saying, "if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life" is very true. I absolutely love capturing moments and memories and it never feels like work.
